‘Why change something that worked?’: United fans select ultimate XI for Atalanta clash

Manchester United will be in action today in the Champions League, as they face Atalanta in a crucial group stage game on tonight.

A victory for the Red Devils can significantly strengthen their chances of winning their group.

Victor Lindelof is ruled out for this game because of injury, while Paul Pogba is available for selection as his red card suspension is invalid for European games.

Going by the results from the victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, majority of the fans think that the team should use the same line-up and include Eric Bailly to replace Victor Lindelof.

2 Line-up options

Option 0ne – 4-2-3-1
Option two – 3-4-1-2

Here are some replies from United fans about the option to use against Atalanta:

AK1: “Option 2 doesn’t look too bad if it will bring some consistency to our defensive play and allow our midfield and attack to be more fluent – especially against an attack-minded Atalanta at home.”

Amiri Bakar: “Option 2 all the way! it’s a quick fix to our problem, unless we sack ole in the near future.”

RKO: “Why would you change what worked? Stick with it and give it time it’ll expand our game loads. Just rotate players here n there to rest.”

Kelly Bukky: “Option 2 all the way for me. But, I will like Alex Telles to replace Shaw. Cos, he’s better than Shaw with formation.”

Prince Mostafa Ewuosho: “Option 2 Forever Always. If it ain’t broken why fix it. Stick with what works. Ole! Bailly’s okay for Lindelof. AWB should maintain his spot unless injured. Pogba should start ahead of Fred who is shaky right now. Unless Cavani is hurting. Rashford could start. I just feel United are unbeatable with this formation (PERIOD) Thanx! GGMU!!”
