Solskjaer reveals his surprising man of the match against Spurs - it's not Ronaldo or Cavani

Proud Solskjaer reveals his surprising man of the match against Spurs and it is neither Cristiano Ronlado nor Edinson Cavani but his best man in the midfield.

When asked about his thoughts on Scott McTominay’s performance in the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Man of the match for me, by a mile.

“That’s the Scott we’ve seen a few times before. He’s had his injury, operation this season but today I thought he was absolutely brilliant, won his tackles, drove forward, kept the ball simple, switched play, headed away set-plays. Absolute top.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was, of course, officially given the Man of the Match award for scoring a brilliant goal and also setting up Edinson Cavani’s strike later on.

McTominay was deployed in the defensive midfield role on Saturday and bullied the Spurs midfielders all game long. While not involved in a goal, he stayed strong under pressure to help United get a big win.
