Solskjaer provides Raphael Varane injury update ahead of Manchester City clash

Speaking to BT Sport after the 2–2 draw with Atalanta in the Champions League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Raphael Varane felt his hamstring.

“You can’t take any risks. He has been such a calming influence for us and then we’ve lost him, but that’s football.”

Raphael Varane limped off the pitch about 38 minutes into the game on Tuesday, forcing Solskjaer to initiate his ‘custom’ 4-2-3-1 formation because Victor Lindelof was out injured as well.
