Real Madrid to sign top Chelsea star amid Hazard exit talks

Chelsea are struggling to complete a new deal extension with German defender Antonio Rudiger. The 28-year-old contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in less than a year.

Real Madrid have started monitoring his situation in London and are considering a move for Rudiger even before the end of his present contract.

Chelsea are aware of this development and have made provision for his successor – Trevoh Chaloba. The new five-year deal offered to Chaloba will likely push for the exit of Rudiger. The German defender might have to leave Chelsea as they now have a young replacement at their disposal.

Real Madrid are keen to bolster their backline in the upcoming transfer window. The Spanish side saw two of their best defenders leave the club in the summer. The Blancos added David Alaba from Bayern Munich, but they are looking for more experienced defenders.
