BREAKING: Raphael Varane hamstring injury update confirmed

Manchester United have announced that Raphael Varane will be sidelined for a month after picking up an injury on Tuesday.

The official statement reads: “The club confirms that Raphael sustained a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for around a month.”

This is unfortunate that Varane will not be available when Solskjaer go against Pep Guardiola in the weekends derby.

About Varane, the Frenchman limped off the pitch against Atalanta in the Champions League earlier this week holding his hamstring and it turns out that the extent of his latest injury is quite serious.

It remains to be seen whether Victor Lindelof will recover in time for Saturday’s clash against Manchester City, leaving Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly as the only two fit centre-backs at the moment.
