“I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas together with their families,” Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick said in a message made for the club’s official website.
“Let’s hope and make sure we can still play in front of our supporters in the future.
“This also means that the fans themselves stay in good health and stay safe – that would be my wish to everybody and hopefully we can see each other at the upcoming home games or away games.
“I’m very much looking forward to playing in front of 75,000 at Old Trafford again. And I send all my best wishes for the new year to everybody as well.”
Man United have not played a game of football for two weeks due to Covid-19 concerns.
They are due to return to action on December 27 when they take on Newcastle away from home. On December 30, they are back at Old Trafford to face Burnley – let’s hope they’ll be cheered on by the whole stadium.
