Napoli has joined the race for Fenerbahce’s Hungarian centre-back Attila Szalai and are pushing to close the deal ahead of Chelsea.
The Italian side want to sign a defender after Kostas Manolas left for Olympiakos.
That deal will go through in January, and Calciomercato.com suggests that Napoli want Szalai as his replacement.
The soon to be 24-year-old has 23 senior caps for Hungary, and has impressed this season for Fenerbahce in the league.
He has 24 appearances for the Turkish club this term, providing two assists to his teammates.
