Manchester United makes a better offer for Erling Haaland

It has been revealed that Manchester United had a better offer for Erling Haaland as he is believed to have a good relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, while speaking to German media outlet Sport1, he opened up that Manchester United were favorite to sign Erling Haaland as they had better offer for the Norwegian.

Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “Our offer [to sign Haaland] wasn’t the best.

“The offer from Manchester United was better. But consultant [agent] Mino Raiola has recognised that Erling is in better hands with us.” he added.

It is clear enough that the Norwegian shares a close relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from their Molde days but opted to move to the Bundesliga instead, which is a popular destination for youngsters.

Haaland has already scored nine times in six Bundesliga games this season and is expected to have top clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and more vying for him in the summer.

Haaland’s presence at Old Trafford may help boost Jadon Sancho’s performance as the two youngsters have a deep understanding of the game. Also, they have proven to be an excellent partners in the pitch.
