Manchester United Board makes final Decision about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

After the embarrassing 0-5 loss to club rival Liverpool on Sunday, some members of the board were actually dissatisfied with Solskjaer as well as fans, however the board had to meet to decide on the future of the club.

After a long dialogue and consultation, the board was able to settle some of the issues that affects the club and decided not to do anything that will further put the club in a handicapped situation that will be more critical than what it is at the moment.

Manchester United Board makes final decision and it is likely that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will remain in charge of Man United in their next game against Tottenham Hotspur, claims The Athletic. As the Club’s hierarchy has assured the Norwegian that his job is safe for now.

However, Solskjaer is still under huge pressure to turn around results, with United winless in their last 4 Premier League games.

Antonio Conte remains interested in the job, but it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be taking over immediately. He will not hesitate to take the job as his party is in contact with the board for a possible replacement.

Despite the club’s decision, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to prove that he can correct the impression as he has lost the trust of quite a huge number of members of the board.
