Man Utd board approve the first signing for Rangnick at Old Trafford

Manchester United board has shown willingness to support interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, in the January transfer window and bring his first signing, Amadou Haidara, to Old Trafford.

Manchester Evening News reports that the Man United hierarchy are prepared to sign the RB Leipzig holding midfielder for their manager in January.

Recall that Rangnick is set to make Haidara his first Man United signing in January.

Rangnick signed the Malian international from Salzburg two years ago during his time at Leipzig.

Man United can bring forward the signing of Haidara if they are willing to pay Leipzig £32 million in January.

Haidara, 23, has a release clause that comes into effect in the summer of 2022 in his current deal with Leipzig.

But Haidara’s dream move to Man United could come to fruition six months earlier than planned should the Premier League giants match Leipzig’s demands.

Speaking on the speculation linking him with a switch to Man United, Haidara recently said he ‘feels good’ at Leipzig but appeared to hint he would be keen to join Rangnick’s side by outing himself as a Red Devils fan growing up.
