According to AS, Spanish media, Manchester United are eyeing a move for Joao Felix. The midfielder has attracted interest from top European clubs, who are planning to sign him this winter.
Manchester United prepare to spend their first transfer window under their newly-appointed boss Ralf Rangnick. Several sources have claimed the Red Devils boss will have a £100m budget to work with. A figure which will provide the former Leipzig manager with great opportunities in the upcoming window.
Though, Rangnick is set to vacate the role of club coach at the end of the season, the club intends to continue working with him in a sports management role later on.
The Red Devils are reportedly eying a blockbuster move for Erling Haaland in the next summer. However, they might finalize a shock move before that.
As for the Atletico star, Man United will face fierce competition from several clubs in the race to sign the 22-year-old. Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United are also plotting to sign Felix. However, United’s huge winter budget might give them an advantage in case of a bidding war.
Following an incredible 2018-19 campaign, Felix moved to Atletico Madrid from Benfica in July 2019. Despite showing glimpses of his best form, the Portuguese star has not managed to fulfil expectations at Wanda Metropolitano.
Felix has struggled to retain his place in Atletico’s lineup this season, getting significantly less game time than before. The Golden Boy award winner must now decide whether he wants to keep fighting for his place at Atletico.
