A lot has been building around Romelu Lukaku lately, the most recent being his disaster-class against Manchester City which has put his name on the lips of most Chelsea fans.
Well, not long ago, Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave a warning about Lukaku, before the Belgian made his move from Manchester United to Inter Milan.
“I will say this on Romelu: don’t expect good technique from Lukaku, but his best strength is sheer power. If only he’d listened to me,” Ibrahimovic was quoted by Football Italia.
Ibra then shared a funny story of Lukaku refusing a simple bet.
“I told him nothing, he would simply become a better player. For the record, he never accepted the bet! Perhaps he was afraid of losing.”
Lukaku has failed to score in his last 3 games, coinciding with the controversial remarks he made on Sky Italy in December.
However, there’s still a fair stretch of games for the big striker to make amends and shut critics.
