Chelsea in advanced talks for ex-Man Utd wonder-kid Deji Sotona

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed to the management the need to build a team for the future, hence the Blues have lined up a number of young talents to bring to Stamford Bridge.

Top of the list is former Manchester United winger Deji Sotona.

According to The Telegraph, Thomas Tuchel’s side were interested in signing the speed demon from Nice last summer.

Despite looking set for a bright future at Old Trafford, Irish superkid Sotona quit in October 2020 for French side OGC Nice.

But he is now ready for a return to England after failing to break into the first team and Chelsea are thought to be in pole position.

The Blues are in the market for a new forward in their squad and it’s now believed a January transfer is close following talks.

Sotona, who hails from the Republic of Ireland, is most comfortable as a left winger or forward.

But he could also provide cover at left wing-back in Tuchel’s five-defender system if needed.
