Paris Saint Germaine Sporting Director Leonardo has expressed his disapproval in letting Lionel Messi travel to play for Argentina.
Leonardo is not pleased that Messi will travel to Argentina despite missing PSG’s 2-2 draw with Leipzig and their 3-2 win against Bordeaux as a result of a knee injury.
Speaking to Les Parisien, PSG Sporting director Leonardo said: “We do not agree to let a player go by selection who, for us, is not in physical condition or who is in the rehabilitation phase.
“It is not logical, and these types of situations deserve a real agreement with FIFA.”
Messi has not scored for PSG in Ligue 1 in five appearances. He’s however scored 3 goals in for the club in the Champions League this season.
