Premier League all-time highest goal scorer, Alan Shearer has revealed his stance on the crisis between Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to Shearer, Chelsea boss has his backing for axing Romelu Lukaku from the Blues’ squad.
The Newcastle legend slammed the Belgium international for going public with his frustrations at Chelsea.
He believes Tuchel “has probably done the right thing” by dropping the Belgian completely from the Chelsea squad in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Lukaku, 28, revealed he ‘was not happy’ at Chelsea and wants to return to Inter Milan.
“Whatever he thinks, he shouldn’t be talking to media outlets about it,” Shearer told the BBC.
“If he’s got an issue with the system, or his team-mates, or whoever that may be, or the football club, then go and tell the manager and your team-mates.
“You shouldn’t be telling a media outlet what your problem is and what your issues are.”
Speaking on Tuchel’s decision, the Premier League legend added, “I get that, I understand that and I think that’s the right decision.”
